Things are slowly getting back to normal around here…slowly. Take, for example, these super cute Valentine’s Day decorations. I originally saw them in the January issue of Martha Stewart Living, which I believe arrived the first week in December. I just saw them yesterday. Martha and her staff made them in white and silver for New Year’s. Needless to say, by the time I saw them, New Year’s had come and gone. So, with some quick thinking, the metallic baubles were turned into these Valentine’s kissing balls.
My only problem was that as a rule, I don’t like to post projects without either providing directions or linking to them. Martha does not yet have this project on her website, and even though they are a simple craft, made using cupcake wrappers, I would certainly not post the directions here as my own. My solution? A giveaway!!
So, one lucky reader will receive an entire “Kissing Ball Kit” including:
*the January Issue of Marta Stewart Living
*a 6″ styrofoam ball (the finished kissing ball is about 11″)
*150 cupcake wrappers (I used every last one!)
*a spool of red ribbon for hanging your finished product
*a curved upholstery needle (which was surprisingly hard to find)
Pretty much, all you need to supply is your own hot glue gun, glue sticks, and a few inches of thread for attaching the ribbon.
To enter the giveaway just leave a comment! The deadline to enter is Sunday, January 17th, and the winner will be announced the next morning.
THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE THAT PARTICIPATED!
Good luck!
