Nikki, In Stitches Craft Column

June 27, 2011

For even more creative how-to’s, be sure to check out my column in the Berlin Patch! Here are links to a few of my favorite posts:

Dyeing eggs with my children each spring is one of my favorite family traditions. Growing up, it was always something I looked forward to, and now that my kids are old enough to join in the fun, it makes it that much more enjoyable.

I love filling the walls of my house with framed pictures. Such a simple thing makes a house instantly feel more like a home.

Fabric rosettes are in every boutique you walk into, but there’s really no need to spend that much on them when you can easily make them yourself.

How do you turn an already gorgeous cupcake into a true work of art? Add a cupcake topper! This “cupcake garden” is easy to make and will be the talk of your next party!

These simple wooden blocks can be enjoyed throughout the year. With six sides, there are six possibilities!

    Crochet Flower and Head Warmer {Free Pattern!}
    It happens every year….

    The weather gets cold, and I get the itch to play with yarn.

    Today I have the first of two crochet projects for you, both head warmers. (Head warmer #2 is coming your way next week!)

    They are adorable, work up in one night in front of the TV, and make great stocking stuffers, too!

    Enjoy!

    The Nikki, In Stitches Craft Academy Is Open For Enrollment!
    I'm so excited to announce my first program open for enrollment in The Nikki, In Stitches Craft Academy...Crafting With Your Silhouette!

    This monthly membership program includes projects, and mini lessons built specifically to help you master every feature of your Silhouette Studio Software.

    There also is a community forum where students post questions, help each other work through problems they may be having, and of course, share their work!

    We wrap each month up with a live online event where we craft together. Students can also ask questions there and get immediate feedback.

    I'd love to see you there!
