In this “Intro to Your CAMEO” class, you will:
- create a design alongside me, and learn how to transfer this design onto whatever surface you’d like
- get familiar with many of the software’s key features, including the advanced techniques of using the print and cut option with the best results, how to trace designs to edit them however you’d like, and how to replicate images and rotate them to create intricate designs quickly and easily
- have the opportunity to bring your own questions to the table, and have them answered by me

This class will help you get familiar with your CAMEO, and encourage you to explore the endless crafting possibilities that your CAMEO gives you. As stated above, we will walk through how to create your own design in class (we will be making the two colored vinyl phone decal shown below). I will also give you tips for transferring your design onto your surface. After that, I’ll demonstrate how to use a few of the other features included in the software. We’ll end with a Q&A period. You can ask about the software, and how to design, create, or edit images, or you can ask about the actual cutting and supplies available to use with your CAMEO. The floor is yours! All of this for less than $5!
I’ve been crafting with my CAMEO for months, and have created more with it than I ever thought I would. My goal for this class is to jumpstart your experience with the CAMEO and shave weeks off of the software learning curve. (Yes, there is a learning curve. I dove into the software with both feet and learned the hard way, over the course of a few months, and by lots of trial and some error. This class will help you avoid that, and get right to the fun!) You’ll quickly see that your cutting system can take you way beyond just paper and scrapbooking!
