The Nikki, In Stitches Top 10 Countdown would not be complete without this cork wreath! It is one of my favorite projects, and according to all of you, one of yours, too! Mine is hanging on my front door, greeting all of my friends and family as they enter my home. Sometimes when I walk up to the house, one cork will suddenly catch me eye, and I’ll actually remember my hubby and I drinking that bottle of wine with friends, or the two of us celebrating a special occasion together. What can I say? We enjoy wine!
In fact, we enjoy wine so much, that I’ve got quite a large stash of corks that need a new home…they are just taking up too much room in my closets! Just leave a comment below (you can say anything you like, from what you love about the new site, to a simple “count me in!”) and you’ll be entered to win them. There aren’t enough to do your entire cork wreath, but they will at least get you started. One winner will be picked randomly Friday, July 29th!
Good luck,
Nikki, In Stitches
This giveaway is now closed! Thanks so much for joining in the fun!

How To Make A Cork Wreath
How To Make A Cork Wreath Video Tutorial from Nikki McGonigal on Vimeo.
This project was originally intended to be my first project for the upcoming 2010 holiday season, but I fell in love with it, and can’t wait til fall to show it off. My wreath already has a permanent home in my living room!
I’d also love everyone’s feedback on my video. This was my first go-around with some new software, and I’d love to know what everyone thinks!
Enjoy,
Nikki, In Stitches

Can you estimate how many corks it will take? I have 20. I have always wanted a cork wreath. I drink martini’s!
Mary,
A LOT! Dare I say a few hundred?? But don’t panic! You can buy them in craft stores, and I’ve even seen them listed on Etsy. And, you can actually occasionally find them for free on http://www.FreeCycle.org!
And maybe you’ll win a bunch here! Good luck!!
Nikki, Your new site is fantastic, very user friendly. Cute, but also professional. Count me in for the cork wreath contest!
This is so cool! I am amazed by your talent.
I am in for the contest. Very cute!
Your new website is professional and easy to navigate - congratulations! The cork wreath would be the perfect addition to my kitchen decor - if only I could win the corks to supplement my slowly growing collection; otherwise I will have to raid my daughters collection and Im not too sure that would make her happy
.
Count me in for the corks!
I declare 2011 The Year of Corks! I have seen so many cute and clever cork projects lately!
Nikki, your website is terrific and reflects your personality and resourcefulness! I have grocery bags of corks (“Hello, my name is Sarah…”) that can now be put to good use. Keep these ideas coming!
This, just like everything else u post, is adorable. I have been meaning to make a new wreath for outside since my others are so worn. Too bad I havent been saving corks from the wine I drink. I would probably have enough for a few wreathes! lol
I’d love to have enough corks for that great wreath! It would look fabulous over a wine rack!
