How To Make A Cork Wreath Video Tutorial from Nikki McGonigal on Vimeo.
This project was originally intended to be my first project for the upcoming 2010 holiday season, but I fell in love with it, and can’t wait til fall to show it off. My wreath already has a permanent home in my living room!
I’d also love everyone’s feedback on my video. This was my first go-around with some new software, and I’d love to know what everyone thinks!
Enjoy,
Nikki, In Stitches
OH WOW, thats very cool. love how you did the video!
Very cool, if you ever need bottle caps for a project just say the word.
Oh, Bob…bottle caps…now you’ve got me thinking!!
VERY COOL!
What kind of hot glue did you use for the corks? Low temp or high temp? Thanks.
Jana,
I’m looking at the glue stick package right now, and it actually reads “Multi-Temp”, which I actually did not notice when I bought them, and probably would not have selected them for this project! 😉
The glue gun I used was a high temp, though.
I hope this helps!
Thanks so much for the info… I want to make some cork coasters, but couldn’t figure out what kind of glue to use… all of the cork projects I found just said “hot glue”…
Guess I know what I’ll be doing this weekend!
Love the coaster idea! Send us pics!
Have a great weekend!
AWESOME! Love the project, love the video, LOVE THE MUSIC! 🙂 Great work all around.

I have bags and jars of corks and have been looking for a project…approx. how many corks were used?
Darlene,
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog!
I don’t have an exact answer to your question, other than A LOT!!!
I’m guessing about 400!
I know, that’s a lot. I actually had quite a collection, but had to supplement by finding some on freecycle.org. If you can’t find any there, try asking a local wine bar to save them for you!
Good luck and send us pics of your finished wreath!
Thanks again!
Nikki
Hi Nikki,
You are great at making craft tutorials…..I really loved the way you showed us and didn’t just verbally tell us how to do this neat project. Great choice of music definitely!!
