Today’s DIY project is an easy one that adds so much character to your home! You can get this done in an afternoon and be super proud of your handy skills!
Who doesn’t love pipe accents right now? Pipe shelves (tutorial coming soon…I’m currently putting them up in my bedroom!), pipe furniture, and now a pipe foot rail.
For me, the foot rail serves two points.
Sure, it makes me look so trendy.
But it also keeps me from pushing my chairs into the ship lap under my bar. And by me, I mean my kids. Ha!
In my video below I walk you through the set up, supply list, and provide a few tips for securing it in place. Take a look, and if you questions about how to adjust the design for your space, just post them in the comments!

Looks great. I’m interested in doing something similar for my homemade bar. Just wondering what size piping you used. Most commercially sold foot rails are like 2” but not sure if thats what you used here…
Hi Ken! I used 1.5″ here, but you can use whatever you’d like!
