This Rosebud block turned out much cuter than I thought it would. I was not a fan of the pink and green floral fabric. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen sheets with that same print…probably at a shore house I stayed in when I was younger. Either that, or maybe it’s the same print as the housecoat (yes, I said it, housecoat) that my grandmother used to wear. (No offense, Annie.) I was pleasantly surprised by the finished piece though. I guess maybe that print is not as , shall I say, “bold”, when used in small doses. Anyway, this block is much easier than I thought it would be, too. It goes together very fast. Along the way, there are a lot of exposed bias edges, so just be careful when handling and pressing your pieces that they don’t get distorted. Next week we will start to cover sashing and borders, quilting and binding. And then we will FINALLY have a completed quilt!
Enjoy,

4. Sew a Unit A and a Green Tonal triangle together to compete Unit B. Press to the Green Tonal triangle. Make 4 Unit B’s.
5. Sew two Unit B’s together. Sew the remaining two Unit B’s together. Sew these two pieces together to complete the pinwheel, and the block.
