How To Make A Holiday Shadow Box

Nikki · November 28, 2013 · Leave a Comment

This time of year, our time is limited, right? If you’re like me, the few minutes you can squeeze in here and there for crafting are precious, and you need to get as much accomplished in that time as possible.

Today’s project is a show-stopper, and works up super fast!

The shadow box you see above uses a design you can find in the Silhouette Online Store here for just $0.99. I simply just clicked a corner of the design and dragged it to my desired size.

Both layers come with the download, but you can see in the picture below exactly how I set the two of them up in my software. The design on the left is what I cut from the silver vinyl. The design on the right is what I cut from the gold vinyl. (To split them up, simply select the design, click “Ungroup Selected Shapes” from the bottom left corner of your software, and delete out the pieces from each that you don’t want to cut!)

Simply cut each design separately. Apply the gold first, then the silver. It’s seriously that easy!

Enjoy,

Nikki, In Stitches

I mean like I literally lost myself. I’ve been in my studio for hours on end, draping, drafting, and editing on repeat. I am a complete mess, in every sense of the word. My studio is covered in discarded … [Read More...] about Lost In Design…And Loving It
