I am far too excited about this blog to wait for my first big project to be finished before I post again. I am feverishly working on it day and night, but my “real” life and my “mommy” life often put my “craft” life on hold.
In the meantime, I thought I’d show these adorably sweet Valentines I made.
I saw these in Martha Stewart’s Living, but they are also on her website at http://www.marthastewart.com/how-to/antique-style-valentine?lnc=6de6802fb632c110VgnVCM1000003d370a0aRCRD&rsc=cf_link (Recently, Martha added a few other styles of Valentines that are also very cute. Check them out!) The directions she provides are easy to follow, but if you have questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Both sides of the paper are visible, so if you have two-sided paper that would work well. If not, the other side is yours to embellish! I used stamps, some punches and a few flowers. As you can see, one of these is for my dad. The others are for my son to give to his girlfriends. (He’s only 15 months, so I’m still ok with him having girlfriends. Give me a few years, and that will surely change!) You still have time to make a Valentine for your someone special! I hope this gives you some inspiration!
Happy Valentine’s Day!

Hi Nikki! I love this idea. I was wondering for those of us who are not as crafty and might not have a lot of crafting supplies, what items would you recommend on buying first for a beginning crafter? Are there any discount crafting stores or websites that you like for paper or stamping supplies?
Hi Emmy! Thanks for the great questions. Look for a post either tomorrow or Saturday that will hopefully get you started card making!
