*This may look familiar to some of you! A few months ago, I was a guest blogger on Waiting on Martha (Stewart), and unfortunately, since then, the blog has been taken down. I have no idea why, and many of you are asking for the origami star directions, so I thought I’d post them here.
These made the perfect decorations for my monogrammed cookie jars! Take a look here: Etched Glass Cookie Jars!
j adore trop merci c est sublime bises jojo
(I love this, too. Thank you. It is sublime. Kisses, JoJo)
I love this! Thank you for the tutorial; I’ll have to start practicing this weekend 🙂
Thanks for the post! The star is lovely.
I believe there is one step missing – the sixth photo is the same as the fifth.
Ahhh! Katya! Thanks so much for letting me know! Just fixed the sixth picture!
Thanks, it’s awesome !!
Where did you get your paper ? It is beautiful !
Thank you, Jo’Keah!
The paper in the very top picture is just wrapping paper! It was white on one side, so I just spray glued two sheets together, so there was pattern on both sides!
The paper in the step-by-step pictures is just light weight scrapbooking paper!
I don’t understand the steps required in the third photo. How do you fold the paper like that? The directions are a little vague for an inexperienced origami folder like me. Help?
oops..never mind.I got it..Just need a little more practice. Thx for sharing the idea!!
My pleasure, Lily!
I’m happy you were able to figure it out!
Hey…i remember these origami stars!!! Are they from way back at the Oak???
You know it, Sandy!
Who would have thought my little “keep the kids busy the day before Christmas break” project would still be such a hit?!?!
PS…Miss you! Hope all is well! XOXO
